The Fröbelturm (785 m above sea level) is considered the symbol of Oberweißbach and was built in 1890 in memory of Friedrich Fröbel. Hikers who reach the viewing platform are welcomed with a wonderful view over the Thuringen mountain ranges. The Fröbel Tower also features an inviting restaurant.
